What comes about?<\/em> is the title of a series of performing experiments for and with the audience. The project was conceived as a sensory collective event and it will be carried out in several stages during 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\r\n

Exploring the procedures of the creation of a group instant choreography and the ways in which viewers immerse in the performance and become its actors, as well as the aspect of tactility and the kinesthetic experience of sculpture and space, this experimental process erases the borders between practice and performance, between performers and viewers, exponents and the exposed. Everyone is simultaneously a witness and an actor of the event, sharing the responsibility for the seen and the experienced.<\/p>\r\n

It is about the voyage from the public and the collective to the personal and the intimate, and back; about the voyage through various media, various logics and resistances, the resistances of the bodies and the materials; the voyage between the experience of the natural ambience of the island of Silba, to which the authors have been intimately connected, the urban space of Jabukovac and the controlled ambience of the theatrical black box.<\/p>\r\n

For the last fifteen years, Zrinka \u0160imi\u010di\u0107 Mihanovi\u0107 has been exploring the somatic movement through various approaches and practices, and her author work is greatly inspired by the somatic experience. Marina Bauer is an academic sculptor who has been exploring tactility and kinesthetic experience of sculpture and space in her work. The encounter of these two artists within the project Start \u201919 Sculpture<\/em> Network<\/em> opened a number of interesting questions and an intention for their elaboration through further collaboration. This collaboration provides a joint inter-media thinking about touch as a basis for the establishment of mutual connectedness and relation with the environment of which we are part, affirming through it an interest for ecology, sharing responsibility and collective choreography.<\/p>\r\n

The 1st<\/sup> performing encounter in the series What comes about?<\/em> was realized as a part of the program Anti-season 19 \u2013 dance in Gorgona<\/em>, in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb.<\/p>\r\n
