Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović
Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović is a dance artist, SME (Somatic Movement Educator), IDME (Infant Developmental Movement Educator) and CMA –SP (Certified Movement Analyst – Somatic Practitioner). She finished the Laban/Bartenieff & Somatic Studies International, certified program in Laban Movement Analysis directed by Janet Kaylo in Zagreb in 2017 as well as the Somatic Movement Education Program in France (2015) and Infant Developmental Movement Education Program in Italy (2008), both certified programs of the School for Body-Mind Centering ®. She studied Dance Movement Psychotherapy Education in Zagreb from 2010 till 2012. She obtained her M.A. degree in History of Art and French Language and Literature at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2004. She has been active as an author and choreographer since 2003, and has collaborated with a number of Croatian as well as foreign authors. She received danceWEB Europe 2006 scholarship. Since 2007 she has been co-organiser of Improspekcije, an international improvisation festival in Zagreb, and is a co-founder of artistic association Multimedijalna koliba (Multimedia Hut) established in 2013. She teaches Experiential Anatomy and LAban Movement Analysis at the Dance department of the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb since 2017 and she has been employed as a Teaching Assistant at the same institution since 2018.
