IMPROSPECTIONS2015

from 3rd to 9th October and 19th to 21st November 2015
Teatar &TD, Student Centre Zagreb

The ninth festival of improvisation, Improspections2015, delivers a programme that is divided into two blocks and conceived around two themes – non-linear dance (and personal) history and the communication between dance and the audience in terms of possible relations and influences between the spectators and the performance. Art has its non-linear collective history, through continuity and interruption, through individual expression and the inevitability of sharing the aesthetic and political issues that each period brings. We are fascinated by how we embody this history through dance and how we share it with the audience or the community in which we work. It’s important for us to think about our own history, not just through the writing of a historical narrative, but also through the body, dance, artwork, joint ventures in the experimental space, and the inclusion of the audience in the social game of sharing, watching, theatre…
